  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 package Refrigerated pie crusts contains 2 crusts
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon Coarse sugar for topping

  • 1 Oven preheated to 375°F

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of water to the pressure cooker and place a trivet inside. Place apple mixture in a heat-safe bowl and set on trivet.
  4. Seal lid, cook on high pressure for 3 minutes. Quick release when finished.
  5. Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles. Place half on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Spoon apple filling onto bottom dough circles. Top with remaining circles. Seal with fork and cut slits on top.
  7. Whisk beaten egg with milk. Brush over pies and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy!

Notes

Freeze extra baked pies once cooled for a future treat. Reheat in the oven until warmed and crispy!
